Meredith Brethé, RN | Aesthetic Injector
Meredith Brethé, RN has for years enjoyed integrating the specialized skills and knowledge required in aesthetic nursing with her equally strong surgical/perioperative nursing background. An honors graduate of Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, she worked at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas and the operating rooms of St. Luke’s Episcopal/Texas Heart Institute of Houston before making Austin her home. Meredith has had extensive experience in both public and private hospital surgical nursing locally. She was a CNOR (certified operating room nurse), Head Nurse, and RN IV for many years at Brackenridge Hospital’s operating rooms, with experience in all subspecialties as well as trauma surgery nursing. As her children grew older, she moved into surgical/perioperative nursing at several outpatient general and plastic surgery centers. Her experience in plastic and reconstructive surgical nursing led to a deeper interest in procedures involving eye and facial structures, furthered by her years here at CAREOS, TOC’s on-site ambulatory surgery center. The transition to aesthetic nursing in our office setting was a natural evolution for Meredith, and she’s remained fascinated with the ever-evolving science, techniques, and materials that are integral to a skilled aesthetic nursing practice. Meredith has been an aesthetic provider with TOC since 1998 and completed various trainings and certifications in all cosmetic treatments. Meredith enjoys the opportunity to combine nursing knowledge and technical skill with an aesthetic eye and deep interest in the nuanced possibilities for restoration, enhancement, and rejuvenation for each individual. She takes satisfaction in establishing professional, often long-lasting relationships with patients and helping them achieve their aesthetic goals. Meredith greatly enjoys books, music, family, and especially swimming and traveling with her husband.
