BBL FOREVER CLEAR

BBL Forever Clear is a blue light therapy used to kill the active acne bacteria in the skin. Through broadband light technology, this allows us to treat the acne lesion and redness from the inflammation. This treatment is best done in a series of 4-6 every 2 weeks. BBL Forever Clear is safe for all skin types and can also be used for cystic acne or spot treating.

Q: How many treatments will I need?
A: The number of treatments needed will vary from patient to patient and your aesthetic provider will personalize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. Your aesthetic provider may also combine your treatment with other popular aesthetic procedures to further personalize your treatment and provide optimal results.

Q: How long the treatment take?
A: It can take as little as 45 minutes, depending on the area you are looking to treat, as well as the treatment you are receiving. Treatment time varies from patient to patient.

Q: What will happen during the procedure?
A: We'll apply a topical numbing agent to reduce sensation about 30 minutes prior to your appointment. Your eyes will be protected with safety shields/glasses. You will feel a warm “rubber band snap” sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas. Your procedure time will vary depending on the size of the area to be treated and the type of procedure performed. Your aesthetic provider will discuss all of your options with you including the benefits, risks and what to expect.

You may also elect to add ProNox Nitrous Oxide for maximum comfort. Please let your aesthetic provider know when scheduling your appointment if this is something you are interested in.
Q: What should I expect after the treatment?
A: You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. For some spots, you will see a darkening of the treated areas followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. Results depend on your skin type, the number of treatments, and the area treated. Your aesthetic provider will provide you with complete information about the post treatment care and results.

Q: How long will it take to recover?
A: This is a non-invasive and typically gentle procedure with virtually no downtime. In most cases, you are able to return to work, and resume most of your activities immediately. If your skin is sensitive, you may experience slight swelling post procedure which is expected and normal. Taking over the counter histamines can help reduce any swelling that may occur.
Q: What aftercare do I need?
A: It is important to follow your aesthetic providers instructions. You will be sensitive to ultraviolet light, and you must avoid direct sun exposure until completely healed. Fully cover your skin and use a good sunscreen whenever you go outdoors.
